This is the first real look at my new 1980 Ford Econoline Campervan!! I traveled all the way from Halifax, Nova Scotia to St. Mary's, Ontario to pick her up and drop off my older vehicle.
She really is in great condition! Better condition that I am in, to be honest!! Not a spec of rust on her!

Her past owner took very good care of her, undercoating her every year
religiously and keeping her indoors during the winter months. He was a
old car enthusiast and knew how to care for them. You should have seen
the pristine 1970's Cadillac that they had of his also... mint
condition!! Sadly, this was an estate sale. He passed away suddenly this
summer not long after being out in the van for a trip one last time.

My pup, Eilidh, on the lookout... as we do the rounds, taking photos!
This van was camperized at Camp Out in Stratford, Ontario. I popped in
there before I left to come home and she was a bit of a celebrity! The mechanic that likely worked on her in the years previous had also passed
on, but there was a whole group of staff that were fascinated by her and
her vintage tire cover at the back of the van. And the decals too... I will
have to upload more pics!

| Toilet and Black Water Tank |
The grey water tank under the toilet also catches all the water coming from the sink in the kitchen area.The black pipe on the left allows us to plug into city water as well to man the system.
I got myself a Mr. Buddy for the road trip home, but haven't had to use
it yet. It's still there, in its box! It was much warmer on my way back than it was going there!

On the right side, you can see the back of the kitchen area at the top there, with storage for the water and propane tanks, and other tools. It came with everything I needed to hit the road!! Although there are still some issues with the electrical outlets and the fridge doesn't seem to be working.

Before, we enter... let me say this... first thing, the carpeting HAS TO GO!!! I think that is what made me so ill on my travels on my way back. Old upholstery didn't help either.
Did I mention that I drove ALL the way back from Stratford without high beams!!! Well, it turns out they are there afterall. Its a button on the floor, just behind Eilidh under the emergency brakes. Its going to take some practice to use them. I am almost too short to reach it!
She is vintage, that's for sure! The spedometer is reading
just over 22,000 clicks... Kms I am presuming, only because its kms in
large print on the dash there... but its likely turned over a few times
in its lifetime.

She came with almost all the necessities for life on the road... Some of which is certainly handy!
